With the VISY-X system (volume information system), which is of high precision, continuous measurement of the filling levels in up to 16 tanks is carried out directly at the gas station. The product temperature and the water level at the bottom of the tank are measured simultaneously.
The system includes one or more VISY-Stick measurement sensors, a VISY-Command measurement analysis system and structural software for the VISY-Setup.
The VISY-Stick measuring sensor can be installed without difficulty, both by means of the screw device with an external thread and by mounting a water separation column. The freely adjustable height in the version with a screw element ensures optimal adaptation to the site conditions. The probes can be used in Zone 0 containing a potentially explosive atmosphere.
VISY-Stick measurement sensors mounted on the tank are connected to the VISY-Command interface system installed in the gas station building.
All parameters are determined using a personal computer (laptop) of the VISY-Command measurement analyzer. The parameters for the measuring sensors and tanks and, if necessary, the measuring tables-dispensers are entered using the easy-to-use VISY-Setup software. The temperature-compensated fill volume can also be calculated.
VISY and control collects data from measurement sensors and transmits them to a higher-order system (for example, POS - point of sale / cash terminal) on request.
In most cases, the data transfer between the VISY-Stick measurement sensors and the VISY-Command measurement analyzer is done via a cable. In this case, the VISY-Stick measuring sensor is powered by a cable.
In cases where there are no more free cable channels available at the gas station, a wireless radio system can be used. In this case, the measuring sensors of the VISY-Stick and the VISY-RFT transmitter are powered by a battery. Installing the radio system is a complex installation procedure and is described in detail in the VISY-X Wireless System manual.
